Live Supervision of a Psychotherapy Case from Four Theoretical Perspectives

Teacher: Beth Bardovi, MFT, (IBP), and three other clinicians
Location: New Center for Psychoanalysis, 2014 Sawtelle Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90025
Date: September 25, 2010
9:00 am - 4:00 pm

It is very exciting to watch someone present a case and be supervised right before your eyes. This kind of presentation offers you the opportunity both to learn about a variety of theoretical perspectives, to observe how others work, and to observe and learn about how to use your theoretical orientation to supervise others. This program has proven to be interesting to clinicians whether or not they supervise others. As a plus, it satisfies California's requirement that supervisors have at least 6.0 hours of formal training in supervision in a way that is far more interesting than the courses that are usually available. Our case presenter this time will be Alan H. Berkowitz, Ph.D.

Beth Bardovi, M.A., MFT, will supervise from the IBP perspective, along with three other clinicians from other modalities.
